The Glenlivet ambassador kit
The Glenlivet distillery is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since. The Glenlivet set the standard in quality and taste that went on to define the Speyside style of whisky. There were many imitators, but no equals.
The task was to create a portable case that held a variety of items, including a gavel, a globe, a writing feather, a rolled-up parchment, a cigar box, and five drawers.
Our carpenters handcrafted the drawers in white oak and finished them with brass handles. They were all outfitted with a plastic container for transporting various herbs and spices. All other components were acquired separately and then assembled.
The outer trunk was sourced and finished with a brass oval with the Glenlivet logo printed on it. The inner fitment was designed to perfectly fit all the items and covered in a luxurious green felt.

The Grant’s whisky serving tray
It was in 1887 when William Grant opened his first distillery in Scotland with the help of his seven sons and two daughters. Six generations of Grants have stood together through thick and thin to hold the title of Scotland’s oldest continuously family-run, blended whisky makers. But we couldn’t have done it without a little help along the way.
For this project our artisans routed the final shape based on specified dimensions from a white oak base. The tray’s top features an inlay with the Grant’s logo gold foiled in the centre, visible through a rubberised die-cut mat.
The tray’s front was adorned with the motto “Ad Virtutem Nitens,” which translates to “The pursuit of excellence.” This is the motto of Lochgreen House, a five-star hotel in Troon, for whom the serving trays were ultimately intended.
The Balvenie whisky serving tray
Balvenie makes whisky in the traditional batch process of the production of single malt. The use of locally grown barley is preferred, and it is floor-malted where possible. Of the 120+ distilleries in Scotland, Balvenie is one of only seven distilleries with its own malting floor.
We made a number of exquisitely crafted bespoke serving trays out of English oak. After our artisans routed the desired shape, the brand name was engraved on the front of the serving tray.
The look was completed with a final coat of luxurious silk lacquer that was polished to perfection. Finally, four felted feet were applied to the bottom to prevent surface scratching.
